Mitchell House is a co-educational school which caters for learners from Grade 00 to Grade 12. The Preparatory School was founded in 1994, the Enrichment Centre in 2006 and the College in 2008. Our approach to education is holistic: we aim to develop all aspects of our pupils' personality and character (spiritual, academic, physical, social and cultural). This makes Mitchell House a very busy place and from early on, our pupils learn to manage their time and commitment. I hope that the website will give you an indication of the range and diversity of opportunity on offer at our school.

Ultimately, we recognise that a true education depends upon the quality of relationships that are forged in the process of seeking the truth about things. Academic work, sport and all the other aspects of our education are merely the vehicles through which we attempt to mould boys and girls into young men and women of character. We set high standards for our children but we seek to offer them high levels of support so that they can discover in themselves more than they thought was there, and, as our school motto has it, "to surrender nothing worthy" in the process. We encourage our pupils to "Dare to be More" and all efforts at achievement are recognised here. Our relatively small classes and fine facilities make it easier for us to get to know the unique individual who is your son or daughter. The establishment of our Enrichment Centre seeks to include children who have significant disability so that they, too, can become part of a truly excellent education.
